April 5, 2008 Meeting Minutes

MINUTES OF FOX LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS,1NC: Sat. APRIL 5, 2008 at Fox
Lake TownHall.    Present: Debbie Green, Jim Rohr Ted Kahlow, Tom
Mueller ,Doris Rathman, BobBergman, Tim Meekma, Bill and Linda
Knueppel, Treasurer-Lou Benter, Supporting member-LouisLeizinger,
Presiding- Ed Benter Guests: George Salaj,Gordon Snyder, Bev Quast.   
Meeting called to order. Motion to approve Feb . minutes w/o reading
by Ted and2nd by Doris.    Treasurer report: Submitted by Lou. Note
$335 donated by Fish n’ Fun for fishstocking. Thank you Annaka. Motion
to accept report by Tom, 2nd by Debbie.    Fish Committee: No fish
wagons or DNR supported fish stocking this year due tofish virus.
Request increase funds from $3680 already earmarked to $10,000, tobe
divided equally in the stocking of walleye and perch. Motion to
approve byDoris, 2nd by Bill. Unanimously approved (as noted by Ted).
Suggestion alsomade to post $1.00 donation to fish stocking at each
lake launch. Also noted 4tagged carp yet unclaimed, each worth $100.  
 Parade of Homes: 5 homes have been offered for tour on June 21, 2008.
Lunch tobe served at Fish N’ Fun. Lou will handle ticket sales and
fliers. Stilllooking for boat drivers.    Concert in Park: July 11,
2008. Offered up to $,1000 for entertainment, howeverthis evening’s
band has been donated. Motion by Bob, 2nd by Linda to give$1,000 as
decided earlier. It was decided to sell peanuts popcorn and soda
atconcession. Debbie, Doris, Linda, Bob and Louie volunteered to help.
Ed, Georgeand Bill offered to help park cars. Tim and Sandy will “free
lance “help. Jim will be the announcer. In case of rain the concert
will be moved to LivingHope Church. Bill will look into a banner
advertising the Pig Roast to beplaced at the park that evening.   
Handicap Outing: Scheduled for June 28. Lou will check on our present
stock ofT-shirts - if any additional are needed she will let us know. 
  “Pig Roast+-Fund Raiser: Bushwackers Band from Milwaukee donated by
NehlsRealty. Gordy has donated a gun for raffle. Hind quarter beef
will be donatedby Louie, Ted and Bill. Bill will check with Brandon
Meats for additionaldonation. Christine Winkleman will again head
children’s games. She requestsa tent and tables like last year. Klancy
the Klown will also be contacted. Ofnote, our raffle license is
non-compliant. Lou will be pursuing.    New Business: Tim proposes we
contact our State Representative and Matthew Frankwith the DNR
regarding the spreading of obnoxious liquid waste in our water
shedareas. Letters were passed and signed by members present. Tim will
berepresenting us at the State Lakes Mtg. this month. Bev Quast
graciouslyrequested our financial assistance with this years Bunny
Berigan Celebration. Other donors include Bob Hayes and the Fox Lake
Chamber. Patrons’ tickets canbe purchased for $125 for the entire
weekend’s event. It is also funded by thesale of various souvenirs.
Motion was made to donate $400 by Bill, 2nd byDebbie. Ted wishes it
noted he is solely opposed.    Meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is
