CALL TO ORDER: Minutes of the meeting of the Fox Lake Property Owners Board of Directors held Saturday, April 1, 2006, Town Hall, 9:30am. Absent Board Members/Supporting Board Members were Bob Bergmann, Tim Meekma, Gordie Ceskowske, David Cross. Guests was Lou Benter and Dottie Graff. PUBLIC INPUT: Louie Leizinger informed us of Mrs. Slawny’s passing and it was agreed how much she had contributed to the FLPO over the years. READING OF THE MINUTES: Dottie Graff announced she is now retired. We skipped down the agenda to appointing the new secretary, Ed announced that Dona volunteered to for free, all in favor, motion carried. Butch noted a correction on last months minutes…Dennis VanderWerff doesn’t turn on the aerators, he checks the oxygen. Lou Benter said she ordered the pigs but was told to wait on the ordering of brats. Ted Kahlow said we missed three attendees from the list in Tides for the Annual Dinner, himself, Pat Kahlow and Schreiber. Motion to accept with corrections, motion carried. TREASURERS REPORT: Lou Benter asked if any questions, none. Membership Update (30 paid), Parade of Homes (only about 25 tickets left). Motion by Ted, seconded by Butch to accept Treasurers Report, motion carried. COMMUNICATION: Letter given to Louie by Ed regarding Wisconsin Lottery, we have enough tickets still for this Pig Roast. FISH COMMITTEE: Louie called the gentleman with the bluegill pond, he’ll get the Committee together to go look at the ponds. He called Laura who sent a list of Vets to certify the fish, she also has minnow traps. 3rd or 4th week of April we can place traps to see what we might get. We’ll need help. Louie will also check with old marina to see if the fish traps are still there. Kirk brought up the winter collections at the boat launch, $72.98, Debbie pitched in .02 and $73 was given to Treasurer. In Fall we’ll ask the Town Board if they’ll allow us to do it again. Kirk wants to revisit if Town would change to year round collections. Butch/Ed said it has been on the agenda, discussed and would be tough to enforce, put a gate on…technically it’s a trailer parking/launch fee. Butch said maybe sign should show “Carp Removal” along with “Fish Stocking”. STORAGE BUILDING: Ted went to Town Board to think about allowing one on their property. He’s looked into plans 24x40, 30x40, about $7,000. Discussion ensued whether we should/shouldn’t versus downsizing our current after weeding things out. Dottie had picture we could use with Ted/Glen/Grill to use “For Sale”. Maybe we could put it out somewhere with “for sale” sign, sometime in May. Put in June newsletter, can use Ted’s phone. Butch suggested have someone (Ted) look into one or two car size…Ted said he would. Butch said since we’re non-profit we could have prison help to put up. Ted will then go back to Town Board. TEE SHIRTS: Ted offered to get quantity prices on shirts we could buy up front to sell. ANY OTHER OLD BUSINESS: Doris asked why a new ad was inserted into the previous year newsletter for one advertiser when another was told they had to wait until the next years. Lou will have that advertiser pay a pro-rated amount to catch up. Lou is going in person to all advertisers for ad updates, etc. NEW BUSINESS: Pig Roast. Donation Committee Chair Louie said committee (Dona/Kirk/Tom/Gordie) will meet before next meeting. Need to name other committees, Ed/Dona/Lou will get together with the “Bible” and either delegate or do all other jobs. Lou said Nehls will again generously donate the purchase of ticket printing again. Louie has some prizes for boards already. HANDICAP OUTING: Have Glen see if 2nd, 3rd or 4th week of July will work with the group. Debbie could get discount on soda from WalMart (her husband is manager). OTHER NEW BUSINESS: Ted volunteered to paint the picnic tables at Town Park. Motion by Ted, second by Butch to adjourn. Next meeting, Saturday, May 6, 2006, 9:30am at Town Hall.
