Minutes of the meeting of the Fox Lake Property Owners, Inc., Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Fox Lake Town Hall. Guests: George Salaj and Tom Labs. Next Meeting Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 9:30am. Minutes: Minutes were read by the Secretary, motion to accept by Tom, second by Ted, motion carried. Financial Report: Lou handed the report out, motion to accept by Dona, second by Tom, motion carried. Old Business: Parade of Homes: Profit this year was $1,699.50. Lou advised that she will not be available to chair the event next year, Linda Knueppel volunteered to do the job if Lou will help her, Lou agreed. Paid membership up to 299. Charlie’s Café hasn’t paid for their ad yet, Lou asks if we can take it out and resell the space. Lou reminds us all to bring any raffle tickets we might still have to the Pig Roast. Handicap Outing: Louie reported another great event, had plenty of help and everyone really enjoyed, people who fished caught fish, all guests were happy. Leftover food was given to the guests to take with. Pig Roast: Two weeks from today. Deb will be on WBEV radio Community Comment, also asks if we can buy an ad in the Tri-County for 7/11/07, motion by Tim, second by Tom, motion carried. Lou said Julie Fleming will have an article in Daily Citizen and then the other papers will carry it too. Dona also called 98.7fm to plug our event. Louie asks if we need to buy pull tabs, they cost one hundred something, there’s about 700 left, motion by Ted, second by Doris, all in favor but Dona, motion carried. Louie asked about dumpster, Ed ordered. Louie said we need gas tank for grill, Bill Knueppel has two 20# empty tanks we can have and Louie will get filled. Dona asked if we repaid Don Timmel for his loan of gas at the HC outing, Louie said he will offer to replace, Dona will send special thank you. Louie said we need different ticket drum, old drum hangs up. Bill said Fish ‘n Fun has one, he‘ll ask Annaka. We’ll “walk-around” raffle all donations, no door prizes except a few for the Sheepshead Tournament, Ted questioned why those if there’s money prizes and Louie said for “excitement“. Louie will make up one dine-around for raffle table. Kid’s Tent is on schedule per Dona, she’s talked with Christine. Louie suggests we meet at shed, it‘s agreed to be Thursday, 7/19, 9:00am to choose what we’ll be bringing and then bring it to the park. On Pig Roast Day, 7/21, we’ll meet at 8:00am for set up. Ted and Lou went over quantities of food for Grill, he’ll pick up all that’s needed. Bill Knueppel will run dice table. Dona will contact Posh Pig to see what kind of area he needs for set up. Golf Outing: Deb said they’re about 60 people, it’s going well, August 4th is the deadline to pay, checks made out to Fox Lake Golf Club and sent to Debbie. We’ll be playing a Scramble. We’ll have raffles there, good prizes. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Closest to pin. Men’s, women’s. 2 prizes on each 9, eight prizes that way. Longest drive. Putting contest at the end, maybe team putting contest. Debbie will talk to Chad about food, they might supply and we’ll pay, brats and burgers at turn, and soda/beer. Beer cart will be out there too. We volunteered Louie for that. Need be there at 9:30 to sign up, shotgun start at 10:00. Fishing Contest Winners: Pat Kahlow, 12” Crappie. 3 Bullheads were caught, the winner was a 13-¼” by Dale Labinski. Any Other Old Business: Tim Meekma points out that we had talked about becoming more politically involved and he sees there is an opening on the Inland Lake District Board, that would be a good place for someone from our board. Website: Ed reports the site will be up and running in 30 days. He gave a brief description of townoffoxlake.org Motion to Adjourn: Motion by Ted, second by Tim, motion carried.
