November 4, 2006 Monthly Meeting
Meeting of the Fox Lake Property Owners Board of Directors held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Fox Lake Town Hall at 9:30am. Absent: D. Green, T. Meekma, T. Kahlow, G. Ceskowske, D. Cross. Meeting called to order by Pres. Benter, next meeting is Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 9:30am. Public Input: None. Reading of Minutes: Motion by Butch to dispense, second by Kurt, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: Given by Lou Benter, note made that after revamping insurance our total savings is $400. Motion to accept by Tom, second by Kurt, motion carried. Communications: Louie reported on the Plant Committee that he and Kurt sit on and suggests we might donate toward the weed surveys that need to be done on the lake that direct the Plant Management Plan, he believes they run about $10,000. Old Business: Louie reports the Fish Committee did not yet meet, they’re waiting for the formal Electro-Shock Report from DNR, although he heard they caught 800-900 per hour vs. 334/hour last year. Membership is now at 325. Parade of Homes, date will be June 23, 2007. Any Other Old Business: Lou brought up about needing a bar tender license, she will take the necessary steps. Lou hasn’t yet made reservation for park for Pig Roast due to not knowing which date. After much discussion and since our funds are flush so we have room to take a chance on something different, we’ve decided to have our Annual Fund Raiser on July 28, 2007. Motion by Kurt, second by Tom, motion carried. We’ll submit that date to the Fox Lake Tourist Guide, with something like “check for further information later”. Lou will reserve the park and the trailer from Brandon (in case we do same food). Discussion of other things we can do, Lou said Deb Green would look into a Golf Outing at the Fox Lake Golf Course. Maybe we can look into roasting a whole pig. Also talked about having Sheepshead and/or Bingo. The hiring of Joe Scheibinger for music is tabled until next month. New Business: The Winter Get-Together will be Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Twin Shores, 11:00am cocktails, 12:00pm dinner. Lou will work on menu/price based on Family Style and report back.
