Reading of Minutes: Minutes read, motion by Kurt, second by Tom to accept, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: Given by Lou Benter. Motion to accept by Dona, second by Tom, motion carried. Old Business: FISH COMMITTEE: Louie Leizinger reports the Fish Committee met with Laura of the DNR in Horicon. Based on the electro-fish survey and her input the Fish Committee requests to use the already earmarked funds of $3,160.60 and an additional $5,000.00 to stock fish 2007. Preliminary stocking would be $5,000 in perch, $3,160.60 in Northern, based on cost/availability. Motion by Doris, second by Tom, motion carried. Louie will check with supplier and bring to next board meeting. Stocking would occur in the Fall. The Fish Committee also asked Laura about putting cribs in or other habitat….she says that weeds are the best habitat and we save manmade cribs until needed. Bev Quast suggested we tag a carp and have a contest such as the Chamber has ($500 prize for tagged fish). Louie mentioned that since it’s illegal to return rough fish to the lake after being caught we’d have to check with DNR before we tag and return a carp to the lake. Louie will ask Laura and report next meeting. WINTER GET TOGETHER: A reminder to all that the luncheon is at noon, drinks before on February 4, 2007 at Twin Shores, call Lou with reservations. PIG ROAST: DATE: changed to July 21, 2007 due to FLFD Car Show conflict. FOOD: Motion by Jim, second by Kurt to have Ed and Dona decide on which caterer to use, based on figures reported so far i.e.: $1500 Posh Pig for up to 300 people including sides and $6.00 per person not including sides for Baumann. Dona will have to verify time serve window (try for 12-3) and what exactly is included and get with Ed to decide. Motion carried. MUSIC: Deb got the band, it’s a 70’s, 80’s, 90’s with a female vocalist, they’ll play from 1pm - 5pm. Also note, it’s sponsored by Nehls Realty, not just Tim Nehls. RAFFLES: Gordie has already donated gun, Lou Benter will get 300 tickets printed. Doris will make picture signs for posting at raffle sellers establishments. Gordie also donated $200 toward Hind Quarter Raffle but it cost about $350 last year, board will ante up difference and we’ll do it again, Lou Benter will have those tickets printed, 300 also. SHEEPSHEAD TOURNAMENT: Lou Leizinger will run it, needs letter on letterhead so he can go to HoChunk and get the cards donation (Dona will type up). OTHER RAFFLES: Probably won’t do raffle boards, maybe add 25 door prizes onto Cash Raffle tickets……will do the walk around meat raffle, maybe still do a Dine Around raffle, 50/50, pull tabs…. New Business: Ed brought up about donating toward Plant Survey, discussion ensued. Dona will bring back figures regarding what funds, if any, were budgeted for that at FLILD before we decide. Motion to adjourn: by Ted, second by Tom, motion carried.
