August 5, 2006 Monthly Meeting
Minutes of the meeting of the Fox Lake Property Owners Board of Directors held Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Town Hall, 9:30am. Meeting called to order by President Benter. Absent Board Members/Supporting Board Members were Tom Mueller, Louie Leizinger, Gordie Ceskowske and David Cross. Two guests present. Next Board Meeting, Saturday, October 7, 2006, 9:30am, Town Hall. READING OF THE MINUTES: Minutes read by Secretary. Motion to accept by Kurt, second by Tim, motion carried. Mention made by Kurt about Mrs. Leizinger had an accident and Louie had been up all night, that’s why he and Tom are absent. TREASURERS REPORT: Lou Benter not yet present Dona retrieved mail while Lou was gone and mentioned there is more money but she didn’t do any accounting. OLD BUSINESS: Fish Committee, No report. Handicap Outing: Kurt mentioned it went well however, we ended up with enough boats to do all in one instead of two shifts. Dona thought all went well, Louie’s written report is in the Tides Newsletter. You have to plan for the amount of people even if they don’t show up. Pig Roast: Dona reported Donation Committee will meet once more. It was discussed to be at Fireman’s Park at 7:00am for set up and breakfast. Kurt also mentioned that Dennis Vander Werff’s last oxygen reading was 7.0. NEW BUSINESS: July Fish Contest: Dona reported 12” Perch, Ken Klug, 11-¾” Crappie, Lee Golly, 15-½” Bullhead, Joanne Labinski, 21-½” Walleye, Bob Fox. ANY OTHER NEW BUSINESS: Ed asked if anyone in the audience had anything, Mr. Mike (couldn’t hear name), asked about weeds. Ed answered FLPO doesn’t do that but there was a meeting this afternoon at 12:30 where the FLILPRD is supposed to update everyone on that. Bev Quast commented on the fishing contest, has anybody ever looked into a big Carp Fishing contest, she knows of a lake where they tagged a carp with a $10,000 prize. Ed mentioned we can look into it. Motion to adjourn by Butch, seconded by Tim, motion carried.
