Any Other New Business: Tim Meekma reported on the Wisconsin Area of Lakes (WAL) convention he attended in April, sponsored by the FLPO. It was very informative, as always, and also addressed many of our concerns, i.e.; liquid waste spreading, runoff, etc. A note of interest, there are 155,000,000 feet of lake frontage in Wisconsin…….for tax purposes, figure $1,000 per foot (reality is even higher)…..and you see that lake property is a big moneymaker for the state. We need to make our voices heard when there are things going on in our watershed that affect the quality of our lake, such as the liquid waste spread on land in our watershed back in Feb. 2009. This was permitted by DNR so nothing outwardly illegal was done however, it does affect our lake and if we don't make noise, it won't stop. Dona suggested we keep our legislators addresses in the Newsletters in case anyone needs to write. We'll also include Tim's letter from last newsletter in the June newsletter again. Sandy suggested we invite our legislators to a meeting. Motion to adjourn by Tim, second by Bob, motion carried. Submitted by Dona Turgeon, Sec'y/Editor
