Handicap Outing: Louie reported this year will be July 22nd at 9:00am, an increase of participants to 50, will need more pontoons. Last year fishing was poor. Deb Green reported we received $30 from Wal-Mart Fond du Lac toward beverages for 2006. Fish Committee: Louie reviewed DNR electro-shock report from Fall 2005 versus Fall 2004. Overall continued improvement. Will not be trapping pond fish, trap sizes not conducive to the fish size. Dona asked if DNR will stock this year, Louie said yes, walleye and northern. Bill Kamp has his nets out for carp. New Business: Motion by Lou, seconded by Ted to increase fireworks donation to $3,000 from $2,500, motion carried. Raffle Tickets: Lou reported that the gun/beef raffles were very generously donated at no cost to us, we can realize $3000 if all tickets sold, she asked if everyone could take some and sell. “Early Bird” Free Membership: Longtime member Don Richter won. Any Other New Business: Louie mentioned it’s a shame we have such low attendance at the Annual Meeting, what can we do to increase attendance. Doris suggested asking the members in a survey. Dona asked if we could ask for other things we can do in the next newsletter. Ed said he’d put a survey in the next newsletter first asking for volunteers for the Pig Roast and what can we do to increase meeting attendance and suggestions for things our organization can do to help the lake area. Lou asked that each of the members recruit a new member. Tom Labs also suggested we ask members in the newsletter what other things we can do. Lou mentioned perhaps we could donate to the Library Expansion. Dona wondered if that was within the realm of the FLPO Mission Statement, which she then read and it seems as though it could be. Butch mentioned that the survey question in the newsletter outline that weed control is carried out through the Inland Lake District and not in our jurisdiction. Ed said we could put that in there. Tom Labs asked if the board ever asked the Town for a donation, yes, one time when we started the carp removal, not since then, discussion ensued. Carp removal was discussed re: Inland Lakes still has about $20,000, when that’s gone, our fund would be sent to FLILD for carp. Motion by Butch, second by Ted to adjourn, motion carried.
