MINUTES OF FOX LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS, INC. Sat. August 2, 2008 at Fox Lake Town Hall Present: Ed Benter, Debbie Green, Jim Roehr, George Salaj, Tom Mueller, Doris Rottman, Bob Bergman, Tim Meekma, Treasurer-Lou Benter. Absent: Bill & Linda Knueppel and Dona Turgeon. Supporting members present-Louis Leizinger & Ted Kahlow. Meeting called to order by President Ed Benter @ 9:30 A.M. Motion made by Bob seconded by George to cancel the Board meeting on September 6, 2008 and hold the next Board meeting on October 4, 2008. All in favor motion carried. Motion made by Doris and seconded by Tom to approve the minutes of the July meeting. All in favor motion carried. Treasurer report: Submitted by Lou. Motion made by Bob and seconded by Tim to accept report. All in favor motion carried. Fish Committee: Louis reported that the fish committee is recommending on a vote of 4 to 1 (Ted Kahlow opposed) that the Board consider spending $2,225.00 for stocking northern in the fall, this would purchase approximately 370 northern. Doris made a motion seconded by Tom that the Board authorizes the expenditure of $2,225.00 for northern stocking in fall, 2008. 7 in favor, 1 opposed (Ed Benter), motion carries. Lou Benter reported on the Pig Roast fund raiser held on July 19, 2008 and indicated that the profit should be about $4,500.00. The Board spent sometime discussing whether a different format or even a different event(s) should be pursued for raising funds. Debbie reported that the golf outing: scheduled for August 16, 2008 has been planned and she is awaiting team registrations. New Business: Tim made a motion seconded by Bob that the Board of Directors submit a resolution to the Fox Lake Inland Lake District supporting their request for a grant to plan and execute an aluminum sulfate treatment on Fox Lake in the Spring of 2009, however the Inland District should concentrate its efforts to improve Fox Lake on controlling run-off into the lake. 7 in favor, 1 opposed ( Ed Benter), motion carried. Ed will collect the fishing contest registrations from Ted and determine the winners for June and July. Motion made to adjourn by George and seconded by Jim. All in favor motion carried.
