MINUTES OF FOX LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS, INC. Sat. May 2, 2009 at Fox Lake Town Hall Present: Ed Benter, Doris Rottmann, Tom Mueller, Tim Meekma, George Salaj, Jim Roehr, Bob Bergmann, Treasurer-Lou Benter. Absent: Linda Knueppel, Jon Prochnow, Bill Knueppel, and Dona Turgeon. Meeting called to order by President Ed Benter @ 9:30 A.M. The Annual Meeting with the Board meeting to follow will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Town Hall. Tom Mueller raised a concern about the bog restricting the water flow from Cambra Creek under the County Highway A Bridge. The Board felt that the restricted water flow affects the clarity of Fox Lake, the water level and the flushing action caused by the water flow. Immediate action is necessary to get this bog removed either by grinding or destruction. Ed Benter will write a letter to the Inland Lake District expressing the FLPO concern and distribute copies to other organizations that should be addressing this issue. Motion made by Bob and seconded by Tom to approve the minutes of the April meeting. All in favor motion carried. Treasurer report: Submitted by Lou. Motion made by George and seconded by Tim to accept report. All in favor motion carried. Fish Committee: Tom reported that Laura at DNR and the fish hatchery have been contacted regarding fish stocking in 2009 and the action approved at the Board’s April meeting is moving forward. The Parade of Homes is ready to go on June 20, 2009. 82 tickets have been sold as of this date. Pontoon boats are still needed. Volunteers are needed for the handicapped outing on June 27th to provide their pontoon boats, assist on the boats, provide bars or cookies and serve the lunch. Contact Doris or Louis. For the “Round Robin on the Lake” electronics raffle details are needed of the items to be raffled so that tickets can be printed. Anyone who has suggestions for additional activities at the 4 participating businesses is encouraged to contact Board members with those ideas. The golf outing is set for August 15th at the Fox Lake Golf Club. Registration forms for the foursomes will be available soon. Board members up for election in June are: Linda Knueppel, Bill Knueppel, Jon Prochnow, Dona Turgeon, and Tom Mueller. Tom has already indicated he will not run for re-election and others have indicated they may not wish to continue as Board members. Persons are needed to run for the Board of Directors.
