MINUTES OF FOX LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS, INC. Sat. June 6, 2009 at Fox Lake Town Hall Present: Ed Benter, Doris Rottmann, Tom Mueller, Tim Meekma, George Salaj, Jim Roehr, Bob Bergmann, Linda Knueppel, Jon Prochnow, Bill Knueppel and Treasurer-Lou Benter. Absent: Dona Turgeon. Meeting called to order by President Ed Benter @ 9:40 A.M. Motion made by Bob and seconded by Doris to approve the minutes of the May meeting. All in favor motion carried. Treasurer report: Submitted by Lou. Motion made by Tom and seconded by Linda to accept report. All in favor motion carried. A discussion about the distribution and/or sale of raffle tickets, especially the money raffle resulted in a motion by Jim seconded by George to authorize Tim to call the Division of Gaming and get a determination if it is legal to mail these raffle tickets to our members with the disclaimer that they are for the members to sell face-to-face to family and friends and if that is legal, the raffle tickets will be mailed with the June Newsletter. All in favor motion carried. Bob Bergmann is securing volunteers to assist with the Round Robin on the Lake on July 18, 2009, including retrieving whatever is needed from the storage shed. Posters were made available for the Board to place at various sites to advertise the event. Some gift certificates for the Dine-Around raffle have been solicited, more are needed. The Parade of Homes is ready to go on June 20, 2009. 96 tickets have been sold as of this date. Linda will put together the directions for the pontoon boat drivers and inform them when they are needed. The handicapped outing on June 27th will have 49 participants with 35 indicating a desire to fish and 14 wanting a boat ride. Pontoon boats are still needed especially for fishing. 9 boats are needed for fishing and 3 boats for riding. Bob and George will grill the hamburgers at the park on that date. Contact Doris or Louis if you or others you recruit will help. Lou and Ed will take care of the concession stand for the August 7th Concert in the Park. It was noted that there will be a concert on July 3rd, making a total of seven concerts for 2009. The golf outing is set for August 15th at the Fox Lake Golf Club. The entry fee will remain at $40.00. Bill with Mike and Sarah Drzewicki are heading this event and will contact the foursomes from previous years to participate once again. Registration forms are available from them or through other Board members and these forms will be included in the June newsletter. Door prizes and hole prizes are needed for the golf outing, everyone is encouraged to solicit donations. Lou informed the Board that Farmers State Bank will begin charging a $20.00 monthly fee because our checking account requires 2 signatures on checks and withdrawals. Tim Meekma made a motion seconded by Linda Knueppel that the Fox Lake Property Owners Inc. requires only one signature for checks and withdrawals. All in favor motion carried. Ed Benter and Tim Meekma agreed to continue to serve in their present positions. Bill made a motion seconded by Doris to cast a unanimous ballot for Ed Benter as President and Tim Meekma as vice-president. All in favor motion carried. Linda made a motion seconded by George to reappoint Lou Benter as treasurer. All in favor motion carried. The secretary position will remain as is until Ed has a chance to talk to Dona regarding what she is still willing to do. Motion made to adjourn by Jim and seconded by George.
