June 6, 2009 Annual Meeting Minutes
MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING FOX LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS, INC., Saturday,
June 6, 2009 at Fox Lake Town Hall
Board Members Present: Ed Benter, Doris Rottmann, Tom Mueller, Tim
Meekma, George Salaj, Jim Roehr, Bob Bergmann, Linda Knueppel, Jon
Prochnow, Bill Knueppel; and Treasurer-Lou Benter plus 3 other
property owners.
The by-laws of the corporation require at least twenty members for a
quorum at the annual meeting; Tim Meekma made a motion seconded by
Linda Knueppel to suspend the rules. All in favor motion carried.
The meeting was called to order at 10:40 a.m.
President Benter read the minutes of the 2008 Annual Meeting. Bob
Bergmann made a motion seconded by George Salaj to approve the minutes
of the 2008 Annual Meeting. All in favor motion carried.
The annual financial report of income and expenses was presented by
Lou Benter with a balance as of 5/31/09 of $31,660.61 including
earmarked funds. Tim Meekma made a motion seconded by Jim Roehr to
accept the treasurers report. All in favor motion carried.
All of the Old Business including 2008 Pig Roast, Round Robin on the
Lake for 2009, Parade of Homes, Handicapped Outing, Golf Outing and
Fish Stocking had been reviewed during the preceding Board of
Directors meeting.
New Business addressed included the following.
1. Doris Rottmann made a motion seconded by Lou Benter that if a
fireworks show is presented in 2010,
the Property Owners donate $3,500.00 to support the fireworks.
All in favor motion carried.
2. There were no nominations received for lifetime honorary
memberships.
3. Louis Leizinger made a motion seconded by Linda Knueppel to change
Article IV Section 4 of the
By-Laws to read “A quorum of a meeting of the Board of Directors
shall be four (4) directors”
(previously a majority). All in favor motion carried.
4. Nominated to the Board of Directors for two year terms beginning in
2009 were current members: Tom
Mueller, Linda Knueppel, Bill Knueppel, and Jon Prochnow, a fifth
nominee was Sarah Drzewicki. Lou
Benter made a motion seconded by Jim Roehr that nominations be
closed and that a unanimous ballot be
cast for the five persons nominated. All in favor motion
carried.
5. Tom Mueller made a motion seconded by Linda Knueppel to donate up
to $1,000.00 in 2010 to support
an additional (6th) Concert in Park. All in favor motion
carried.
6. The winner of the drawing for the “Early Bird” free membership was
Edgar Labs.
7. A suggestion was made that the annual dues for the Fox Lake
Property Owners be levied against all
owners. This suggestion will be researched and brought back for
discussion at the 2010 Annual
Meeting.
Motion made to adjourn by Jim Roehr and seconded by Bill Knueppel.
All in favor motion carried.
