Absent: Bob Bergmann. Meeting called to order by President Ed Benter @ 9:00 A.M. The next Board of Directors meeting is Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Town Hall at 9:30 a.m. Motion made by George and seconded by Tim to approve the minutes of the June meeting. All in favor motion carried. Treasurer report: Submitted by Lou. Motion made by Tom and seconded by Linda to accept report. All in favor motion carried. Louis Leizinger reported that the DNR stocked Fox Lake in June with 45,000 walleye fingerlings. He is still pursuing getting a permit for fish stocking for this year but needs to wait until the supplier completes their fish testing report which will probably not occur until the end of August. Once that testing is complete the permit must be applied for on-line. The Special Friends Outing went well. Louis reported that the group home in Fox Lake run by Bethesda was disappointed that they could not participate in this year’s outing due to limiting the number to 50. Louis has placed them at the top of the list for next year. The Parade of Homes was a success with $1,940 raised for FLPO. Anyone willing to show their home next year or knowing someone who would should contact Linda. Round Robin on the Lake appears ready to go. All the participating businesses have been contacted again and are still willing. The Dine-Around Plus raffle will have certificates included worth in excess of $300.00. Raffle tickets with a name and address stub need to be procured for the Dine-Around and 50/50 raffle. Bob Bergmann is still organizing volunteers. Should we attempt to sell the t-shirt inventory? The FLPO sponsored Concert in the Park is August 7th with the concession stand opening about 6:00 p.m. The golf outing is set for August 15th at the Fox Lake Golf Club. Bill reported that 4 foursomes have signed up thus far. Encourage your friends and neighbors to participate. If they do not have a foursome, there are others with whom they can be paired. The raffles at the golf outing will have great prizes. If persons do not golf, they may want to come and buy a raffle ticket. Bill will take door prizes from anyone willing to donate them. Tim informed the Board that some lake property owners associations have become sub-committees of the Lake District and dues are automatically levied as part of the Lake District budget. Something to consider? The Fishing Contest winners verified were Dennis Pufahl and Rick Morgan. It was noted that one person per member household is eligible to win in each of fish species categories. Motion made to adjourn by George and seconded by Linda. All in favor motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Ed Benter
