Minutes of the meeting of the Fox Lake Property Owners, Inc., Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Fox Lake Town Hall. Absent: Bill Knueppel, Tim Meekma, Bob Bergman, Tom Mueller. Guests: George and Judy Salaj, Kurt Steinke. Next Meeting Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 9:30am, Ed & Lou Benter will not be here, Debbie Green will chair. Minutes: Minutes were read by the Secretary, motion to accept by Ted, second by Doris, motion carried. Financial Report: Lou handed the report out, motion to accept by Dona, second by Ted, motion carried. Old Business: Fish Committee: The Northern and Perch are now in the lake, they were bucketed in by over twelve volunteers on both occasions. All the fish looked healthy. Pig Roast: Ed will contact Dick Martin regarding pork chop dinners, Dona will contact a couple other places to get prices. Golf Outing: Debbie will reserve Saturday, August 16, 2008 for our next Golf Outing and will pick a committee to help at our May/June 2008 meeting. This first year we netted a $910 profit! Good job Debbie! Website: All is up and running, hope everyone takes a look. Parade of Homes: June 21, 2008 will be our next year’s event. Linda will report after she does some more reading of past years events. Any Other Old Business: Concerts In The Park: For 2008 we will sponsor the July 11, 2008 Concert. That date is picked so we can advertise the Annual Fund Raiser at the same time. New Business: WAL: Dona brought up that the Wisconsin Association of Lakes Convention will be April 17-19, 2008 and it was discussed and decided we would again sponsor sending two people for a one night stay to attend. This is a most educational event and by sponsoring two different people each year this information can be spread effectively. The FLILPRD also sends two people each year. The two attendees will be chosen at a date nearer the event. September Fishing Contest Winners: Jamie Laurence 20” Bass, Geog Golly 12“ Crappie, Tom Beistle 21” Walleye. Winter Get-Together: Lou presented an idea to have a Comedy Club type event, a good venue might be Fish ‘n Fun or Hayes since they have lots of room. Or, if they can’t do it maybe the American Legion Hall in Fox Lake. We agreed if she was willing, to have her look into this further. A date of Sunday, March 3, 2008, was tentatively chosen, in the afternoon. Food might just be appetizers as Linda suggested, they favor a more social atmosphere versus a sit down dinner. Tee Shirts: Lou had a quote from Fox Lake Tees for color tee shirts in children’s sizes and a few more adult sizes to fill in our inventory. The idea was acceptable but more quotes need be procured. Ted will look into the place he got the last ones. Motion to Adjourn: Motion by Ted, second by Jim, motion carried.
